Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assist and determination to strengthening South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) solutions in the course of an engagement while using the agency's senior supervisors at a strategic preparing session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled while in the 2024 matric exams.
Of your 724 156 full-time learners who registered for your National Senior Certificate (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% on the registered pupils within the education and learning sector.
These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.
"This means that the investment decision government is creating within the lives of bad and susceptible kids is yielding a positive impression in breaking intergenerational poverty," Tolashe said.
Reflecting on the latest achievements, the Minister highlighted key milestones and srd status check ongoing priorities. She committed to urgently addressing The problem of lasting Management appointments and also the lack of staff at most nearby offices.
